Maasai Mara Conservation Education

27 School Kids sponsored to attend a Conservation Education fieldtrip with The Maa Trust

Great Plains sponsors the exciting and educational holiday camp hosted by The Maa Trust. For the April holiday Camp, 27 students from the Maasai Mara travelled to Mombasa to learn about different cultures and environments. The majority of the students had never visited the coast or seen the ocean before so this trip really provided them with a unique learning experience to open their minds to different ecosystems. The group learnt all about marine conservation and participated in the development of a conservation strategy including the planting of 150 mangrove trees and hosting a beach clean up.

“The students are grateful for the eye-opening journey and the experience provided, and are more committed than ever to their studies and conserving our planet. Thank you, Great Plains Foundation for making this possible!” – The Maa Trust
