Solar Mamas install 200 more solar systems in rural Botswana

The Solar Mamas have installed 200 more household solar systems in rural Botswana

The Solar Mamas have been busy with household solar installations, business showcases and training. The ladies installed another 200 systems in their communities, bringing safe power and light to 200 more homes. Since starting the program selling and installing solar systems in rural Botswana, the Solar Mamas have seen a significant impact in their own lives, in addition to bringing power to off-grid communities. They have also managed to build houses, send their kids to schools, start other small businesses and improve their families’ economic prospects.

In September, a training workshop was held with the Solar Mamas on improving installation techniques and skills in how to fix issues using wiring and soldering. The Solar Mamas have now installed 800 household solar systems in rural Botswana to improve human-elephant coexistence and boost education.
