Conservation Education in Amboseli, Kenya

30 students joined our Kids Conservation Education Camp in Kenya

Educating the next generation in all things ecosystems and biodiversity protection is essential when looking at long-term ecosystem health. Great Plains has been running Kids Conservation Education Camps for years in Botswana and we are excited to launch our own Great Plains Kids Camp in Kenya in 2023.

The camp was held during school holidays where 30 wildlife-enthusiastic youngsters from 16 schools near to ol Donyo Lodge were invited to join the 4-day camp bursting with exciting educational sessions, practical sessions in the bush and games. The sessions included game drives and walking safaris led by Great Plains guides and engaged in conservation talks led by resident area experts. It was a true wilderness experience taking the students to the Great Plains fly camp on the slopes of the Chyulu Hills.
