For reasons beyond their choosing, thousands of wild animals find themselves behind the fences of reserves in Zimbabwe that cannot continue to sustain them. Project Rewild Zambezi started in 2022 as an emergency conservation initiative. Great Plains is urgently raising funds to continue its translocation efforts into the Sapi Reserve, an enormous and unfenced wilderness area bordering Mana Pools on the banks of the Zambezi River.
