SCHOOL SUPPORT
Supporting schools with a range of requests specific to the region
Supporting schools with a range of requests specific to the region
Great Plains has a strong focus on education in the rural communities surrounding wildlife areas. To ensure school children are excelling in school we have a variety of projects on the go, each tailored to the region’s challenges. For example, in Kenya, we support school meals for thousands of students to ensure they stay in school and progress. Other examples are supporting teachers’ salaries to ensure a dedicated education experience, donating educational materials where needed, and building water provisions.
One of our ongoing projects supports school children that struggle with their eyesight in class and when studying. The Great Plains Foundation Mobile Eyesight Clinic moves between the communities testing school kids’ eyes between the ages of 10-13 and supplying eyeglasses or medical support to those in need.
For up-to-date information and needs from the schools please email info@greatplainsfoundation.com.
Project costs can range from $2,500 to $50,000 and donor support for these projects in whole or in part is always welcome.
