This is especially true in conservation work, when rapid responses can save the lives of wildlife and people and prevent the destruction of endangered landscapes. It is with this understanding that the Great Plains Foundation made the decision to establish the Great Plains Rescue and Emergency Fund. Donors to the Fund help give the Great Plains Foundation, under the guidance of Dereck and Beverly Joubert, the resources, discretion and flexibility to provide quick responses to urgent conservation situations as they arise and help to secure a bright future for Africa’s wild places.
