THE SOLUTION
WE'RE MOVING AT LEAST 100 RHINOS out of densely populated areas that are attracting poaching, and releasing them into the wild within Botswana where poaching is virtually non-existent.

PHASE 1
FUNDRAISING
Fundraising
Rhino 1 x Rhino = $45 000
The Rhinos Without Borders crowd funding campaign is specifically to raise money for the translocation of rhinos, with each rhino costing $45,000 each. This includes all aspects of the operation such as capture, quarantine, transport, release and monitoring.

Only bank fees will be deducted from any amount donated, no admin charge is incurred and all funds will go directly into the initiative.
PHASE 2
CAPTURE, TRANSLOCATE, RELEASE
Rhino
The first group of 10 rhinos have already been moved earlier this year and are doing well in their new home in Botswana's wilderness where they are being monitored and protected. Thanks to your support, we are already preparing to move the next larger group at the end of 2015. The timing of each operation is based on seasonal temperatures, locations of release suitability, feed available (per season), flood waters in the release locations, the readiness of top level anti-poaching teams and the technology we have in place.
PHASE 3
POST RELEASE ASSISTANCE
Rhino
We provide post release assistance to the Botswana authorities wherever possible to secure and monitor the rhino. Our budget contains elements that cover ongoing monitoring and anti-poaching efforts in Botswana. We're working with top experts in rhino anti-poaching, technology and security, in conjunction with the Botswana Defense Force and the Ministry of Environment.
PHASE 4
COMMUNITY EDUCATION & OUTREACH
Rhino
The communities are our eyes and ears on the ground and we aim to make the citizens of Botswana our partners in protecting their national resource. Already the tourism sector is the largest job creator in the Ngamiland district, with ready-made channels of discussion with communities. We aim to use these and establish more ways to talk to and educate communities about how best to protect this asset against foreign poaching. Included in this plan, is a facility for incentives for incentive for information leading to arrests. We have already begun our education programme in schools and communities and will continue to expand and develop this program throughout the initiative.
We are extremely grateful to all sponsors and donors,
without you this would not be possible!
